Cryogenic tubes

Selecting the appropriate storage container is crucial to maintain the integrity of your sample, especially under extreme conditions. Cryogenic tubes, designed for freezing in liquid nitrogen at -196 °C and autoclaving at +121 °C, are ideal. They are available in two main types: with internal or external thread. Tubes with an internal thread are equipped with an O-ring, to provide maximum seal integrity. Alternatively, externally threaded cryogenic tubes, offer a lower risk of contamination.

For efficient vial recognition, color-coding is a practical solution. By selecting coloured lid inserts, you can easily improve the organization of your samples. Otherwise, utilizing tubes with 1D or 2D barcodes provides an effective method for sample tracking. This allows for rapid barcode assignment and the creation of a systematic digital inventory, ensuring that your sample management is efficient, reliable and GMP compliant.

Freezing- and cryo- boxes

To achieve a consistent cooling rate of -1°C per minute (typically in a ULT freezer at -80°C) without supervision, cryogenic containers with cooling substances are often used. However, these usually rely on alcohols that need regular replacement. CellCamper® freezing boxes eliminate this need, using thermally conductive alloy and insulating materials to freeze samples at -1°C per minute without liquids or pre-cooling

If you're instead seeking cryoboxes for storage, such as in liquid nitrogen tanks, feel free to explore our selection.

Organising systems

Organising systems aim to maximise storage capacity and to facilitate the retrieval of samples. These systems are primarily categorized into shelves and racks.

Rack inserts come in various dimensions, with insert heights tailored to accommodate specific samples types, such as: microscope slides, cryo- or cell culture tubes or PCR tubes in different boxes. Racks can be further divided into chest racks and cabinet racks depending on the freezer type.

Chest racks, also known as stacking racks or towers, are characterised by their compact storage capability. The Cryomaster® brand specializes in space-saving solutions for cryogenic storage, offering a wide range of rack systems and boxes in different dimensions, ensuring you to find the right fit for your storage needs. If you are unable to find the solution for you, contact our team, they will guide you through the process of creating a costume-made designed tailored to your organisation needs.

FLUICS® connect offers the perfect antidote to the creative chaos that often reigns in the lab. Still holding onto unlabelled tubes from 1998, with no clue what's inside? FLUICS® connect is here to ensure those days are behind you. By combining a user-friendly app with a cloud-based inventory database and an online label printer (with labels that withstands cryogenic temperatures), it keeps your samples and locations organized with ease. Additionally, it can help you use up reagents before reordering. Lastly, it minimizes the time you keep your ultra-low freezer door open - boosting your lab's efficiency and giving your ecological footprint a little love.
