Coy - Flexible Solutions. Reliable Results.

The anaerobic vinyl chambers from Coy Laboratory Products have been among the market-leading chambers in microbiology for years. Coy can also supply equipment with unrivalled performance for hypoxia ‘in vivo’ or ‘in vitro’ (cell culture). Thanks to high-quality materials and a well thought-out concept, these chambers are ideal for working under strictly anaerobic conditions. Both the vinyl chambers and the hypoxic rigid chambers from Coy can be customised according to your requirements. Thanks to our long-standing co-operation with Coy, we are able to offer these unique products exclusively in Germany. Benefit from first-class advice and services, customised product solutions, individual offers and a stable supply of spare parts. Everything from a single source.

Application examples

Anaerobic tents

  • Microbiology: For research and cultivation of anaerobic bacteria that require an oxygen-free environment.
  • Protein purification: Due to the sheer size of the vinyl chambers (approx. 1m to approx. 2m wide, height >1m, depth approx. 80cm), FPLC devices can also be operated within an anaerobic atmosphere.
  • Coy also offers the option of building much larger chambers according to customised specifications (e.g. for robotic systems).

Hypoxic chambers

  • Cancer research: Tumour cells often grow in hypoxic environments. Investigating these conditions helps to better understand tumour growth and the response to treatment.
  • Cardiovascular disease research: Hypoxic conditions can be used to simulate the effects of oxygen deprivation on the cardiovascular system.
  • Cell biology: The effect of hypoxia on cells and their metabolism can be investigated. This can provide insights into cell regulation, differentiation and the influence of oxygen deficiency on cell processes.
  • Environmental simulation: Use hypoxic chambers to simulate natural environments such as high mountains.

Humidity control environment

  • Plant research: For the investigation of plant yield, growth and development under different humidity conditions.
  • Materials science: For materials that are sensitive to humidity (e.g. in the electronics industry or in the manufacture of sensitive products), Coy's chambers help you simulate specific humidity conditions and test the stability of materials.
  • Pharmaceutical research: Controlled humidity is required for drug studies to investigate the effect of humidity on drugs and their shelf life.
