PHC Cryogen freezer, -150°C, 128 liters

Cryopreservation is the storage of living organisms, cells or tissues at extremely low temperatures in order to later restore them to the same viable state as before freezing. For long-term storage, samples must be kept below the gas transition temperature of aqueous solutions, which is approximately -130ºC. This is the temperature at which frozen water no longer sublimes and recrystallizes. Therefore, storage down to -150ºC is required for long-term preservation. Cryogenic freezers are known for maintaining uniform temperatures at -150ºC for reliable, long-term preservation of cells and tissues. The cryogenic freezer can achieve a higher storage capacity than a conventional insulated freezer without increasing space requirements, thanks to thin vacuum insulation panel (VIP) walls, while maintaining superior temperature consistency.
