Testo® temperature probe, NTC with aluminum sleeve

The temperature probe with aluminum sleeve and flat tip is suitable for measurements in liquids and pasty media as well as for air temperature measurements. Due to its NTC sensor element, the probe enables precise temperature measurements with an accuracy of up to ±0.2 °C. The temperature probe has a cable of 2.4 meters length. For continuous measurements, you can permanently mount the temperature probe at the measurement location. For this you only need a clamp or PG gland (not included in delivery). The temperature sensor is waterproof according to protection class IP 65, so measurements in outdoor areas are possible, for example. The response time t90 (time until the sensor indicates 90 % of the temperature jump) of this sensor of 12 seconds relates to measurements in moving water at +60 °C. If you need a rather sluggish temperature sensor for measuring air temperature; this sensor is particularly suitable, because it does not take into account short temperature peaks in the temperature measurement, or only very slightly. So, for example, if you want to use this probe to measure air temperature in the refrigerator; briefly opening the refrigerator door would not account for the temperature fluctuation that occurs due to the mixing of warm room temperature and refrigerator temperature. If you need an air temperature sensor with fast response time; you are well advised to use the extra fast temperature sensor with large measuring range 0602 0493.
