Testo® temperature probe with piercing tip (TE type K)

This thermocouple (TE) temperature probe with piercing tip can be used for measurements in pasty and semi-solid media as well as for measurements in liquids and air. The temperature probe has a thin flat cable of 2 meters length. The thin flat cable can also be laid through narrow openings such as door slots or refrigerator seals. With an IP54 rating, the temperature probe with piercing tip is protected against splashing water. This type K and class 1 thermocouple probe has a standardized accuracy of ±1.5 °C. The response time t99 (time until the probe indicates 99% of the temperature jump) of the temperature probe of 7 seconds refers to measurements in moving water at +60 °C. If you need a rather sluggish temperature sensor for measuring air temperature; this sensor is particularly suitable because it does not take into account short temperature peaks in the temperature measurement, or only to a very small extent. So, for example, if you want to use the temperature probe with a piercing tip for measurements of air temperature in the refrigerator; briefly opening the refrigerator door would not take into account the temperature fluctuation that occurs due to the mixing of warm room temperature and refrigerator temperature.
