Measuring the air flow and correctly calculating the volume flow at ventilation outlets can be a challenge. The turbulence and different flow directions that occur there make correct measurement difficult. At swirl diffusers, the air turbulence is particularly strong, so that even higher measurement inaccuracies are to be expected. Together with the measuring funnels and the testovent 417 volume flow rectifier, the testo 417 impeller anemometer provides perfect support for flow measurement on ventilation grilles and poppet valves. It ensures simple testing of supply and exhaust air - such as in controlled residential ventilation. The testo 417 vane anemometer with integrated 100 mm vane simultaneously measures flow velocity, volume flow and temperature. The measuring funnels included in the set enable precise volume flow measurement at ventilation outlets. With the volume flow rectifier, you can even achieve maximum accuracy at swirl diffusers. The calculated volume flow is shown directly in the display of the impeller anemometer. In addition, it is possible to switch to the current measured temperature value. The direction of flow, i.e. sucking or blowing flow, is also shown on the display. Time and point averaging provide information about the average volume flow, flow velocity and temperature measured value. The paddlewheel anemometer displays min/max values, and the hold function allows you to retain current readings. With the illuminated display, you can perform your measurements even in dark environments. Ready to go for measurements on disc valves, ventilation grilles and swirl diffusers Thanks to this set, you are ready to go: For measurements on ventilation grilles or disc valves, the testo 417 vane anemometer is simply attached to the testovent 417 measuring funnel. After you have selected the measuring funnel factor in the paddlewheel anemometer, you can start your measurement. For volume flow measurement on swirl diffusers, the testovent 417 volume flow rectifier can also be used. Despite the massive air turbulence at swirl diffusers, the testo 417 vane anemometer in combination with the measuring funnel and rectifier offers impressively high precision. The set consists of the testo 417 paddle-wheel anemometer, the testovent 417 volume flow rectifier and the testovent 417 measuring funnels - one for disc valves (diameter 200 mm) and one for ventilation grilles (330 x 330 mm). After the measurement, you can store or transport the utensils safely in the bag.
