Use the fume cupboard probe (hot-wire probe) to determine flow velocity; volumetric flow rate and air temperature with the matching testo multifunction meter (please order separately). It is particularly suitable for low flow velocities up to +5 m/s. Fume cupboard probe - equipment and areas of application Testing the fume cupboard plays an important role in the safety of people working with substances that are hazardous to health. For example, the fume hood protects against explosions as well as hazardous gases and vapors. With the laboratory fume hood probe, you can measure the incoming air velocity and the outgoing air volume flow in the laboratory fume hood in accordance with DIN EN 14175-3/-4. In this way, you can guarantee your customer the correct installation and the functionality of the laboratory fume hood on site. With the permanently connected cable, you connect the fume cupboard probe to the measuring device (please order separately). The clearly structured measuring menu for volume flow ensures intuitive operation of the measuring device. Thanks to convenient input of the dimension and geometry of the duct cross-section, the volume flow rate is calculated precisely. Time and point averaging, average volume flow, current measured value and min/max values are displayed in the measuring device. To ensure accurate measurement results, air density compensation is performed via the integrated absolute pressure measurement. Intelligent calibration concept With the digital probe, you benefit from particularly precise measurement results, as the measurement uncertainty from the meter is eliminated. You only need to send in the probe for calibration - so the measuring device remains in use throughout.
