DURAN® Separatory funnel, with glass plug, 2000 ml A separatory funnel has the shape of a pointed flask with a drain cock at the tip. The separatory funnel is used for liquid-liquid extraction of two immiscible liquids (substance separation process) and can thus also be used for cleaning processes. The liquid with the greater density collects in the lower part of the vessel and can be drained off via the drain cock. The imprinted scale allows accurate volume determination.
