Vivaflow 50 is a ready-to-use tangential flow filtration unit. The membrane area of the single-use, low-cost unit is 50 cm. One package size contains two units and all accessories for their joint use with a laboratory peristaltic pump and a size 16 pump head. Up to six units can be used together for up to 3 L of sample to accelerate concentration. Vivaflow 50 is ideally suited for applications such as concentration of cell culture supernatants, viruses and also water concentration e.g. from water samples or from fish breeding tanks. The cost-effective unit is easier to operate than any other laboratory filtration unit in its class, and is also reliable and flexible. One unit typically concentrates samples of 500 ml volume by a factor of 35 in less than 50 min. With a simple splitting of the unit, almost complete recovery of the concentrated sample is achieved. One package contains the complete accessories for use, including a pump. A sealed 500 ml diafiltration cup can be added to the system for easy and fast buffer exchange. Vivaflow 50 modules Required equipment A Vivaflow 50 packaging unit includes two filtration cassettes, connectors, pressure gauge, flow limiter and pump tubing. Only one peristaltic pump with a pump head suitable for 6.4 mm OD tubing (Gre 16) is required for use.
