Sartorius® Vivaflow 200, 10,000 MWCO PES

Vivaflow 200 is a ready-to-use, reusable tangential flow filtration unit in an acrylic housing, which allows cleaning at high pH values and thus reuse 4-5 times. The membrane area in the unit is 200 cm. One package size includes one unit and all accessories for use with a laboratory peristaltic pump and a size 16 pump head. Two units can be used in parallel for up to 5 L samples to accelerate concentration. Vivaflow 200 is ideally suited for applications such as concentration of cell culture supernatants, viruses and also water concentration e.g. from water samples or from fish breeding tanks. This cost-effective unit is easier to operate than any other laboratory filtration unit in its class, and is also reliable and flexible. One unit typically concentrates one-liter samples 50-fold in less than 30 min. Alternatively, two Vivaflow 200 units can be used to concentrate 5-liter samples in under 75 min. With a simple splitting of the unit, almost complete recovery of the concentrated sample is achieved. The Vivaflow 200 unit can be easily regenerated and reused several times. One package contains the complete accessories for use, except a pump. A sealed 500 ml diafiltration cup can be added to the system for easy and fast buffer exchange. Required equipment A Vivaflow 200 packing unit includes tubing, pressure gauge, flow restrictor and pump tubing. Only a peristaltic pump with a pump head suitable for 6.4 mm OD tubing (size 16) is required for use. Parallel operation of 2 Vivaflow 200 units Two Vivaflow 200 units can be easily connected to each other using the ready-to-use Y-connector. The Y-connector is supplied pre-configured with hoses and luer locks. Note that size 16 hoses connect the 2 Vivaflow 200 units together, while a size 15 hose goes into the pump. So you need a pump head of size 15 if you want to work with two Vivaflow 200 units in parallel.
