Sartolclean GF mini filter cartridges combine absolute retention by membrane filtration with the high adsorption capacity of glass fiber fleecs. Therefore, Sartoclean GF filter elements are ideal for the retention of colloids and lipids, for defined particle retention and also for bioburden reduction in many bio-pharmaceutical applications. Furthermore, Sartoclean GF mini candles are used for pre-filtration in biotechnological production processes to protect downstream equipment. Typical applications include bioburden reduction as well as effective retention of colloids and lipids from fermentation media and cell culture media. Retention of colloids and lipids by adsorption allows effective downstream processing and bioburden reduction by membrane filtration prevents the formation of pyrogens during the process, resulting in increased process safety, especially for biotechnological processes. Sartoclean GF mini candles are designed, developed and manufactured in accordance with an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Validation documentation is available in accordance with regulatory requirements. For linear scale-up and high flexibility within the process, Sartoclean GF filter elements are also available as standard filter cartridges, MaxiCaps and Capsules.
