Centrisart I is a ready-to-use unit for centrifugal ultrafiltration of small samples to separate proteins from low molecular weight substances in biological samples. Centrisart I embodies a unique design: ultrafiltration against centrifugal force. This principle prevents premature membrane blocking so effectively that even whole blood samples can be deproteinized. Centrisart I can be used in swing-out rotors or fixed-angle rotors for 15 ml standard tubes. Ultrafiltration of 90% of the original sample is typically completed in about 30 minutes. The ultrafiltrate is collected inside the float tube and is easily removed without having to remove the tube.
