For the measurement of sugar content.
With a few drops of sample solution, the percentage of dissolved solid is determined using the principle that the refractive index of a dissolved solid is proportional to its concentration.
This is a simple, precise and particularly useful method for quality control of fruit, jam, vegetables, tomatoes, beet sugar, canned food, etc., both outdoors and in the factory.
