Eppendorf Tubes mark the standard in simple and safe sample processing in the range from 0.5 to 2.0 mL. For large volumes, conical tubes are available in 15 mL and 50 mL sizes. Users with medium sample volumes face a problem: they have to process their samples with large, conical screw-cap tubes. This is impractical, time-consuming and also prone to contamination.
