When research laboratories need to prepare, centrifuge, mix or store sample volumes in orders of magnitude greater than 15 mL but far less than 50 mL, there is often no choice but to use the conventional conical tubes with screw caps for volumes of 15 mL or 50 mL. This problem is now solved with the new Eppendorf Conical Tubes 25 mL. They have the same diameter as the 50 mL conical tubes, but are not as long. Therefore, the immersion depth of the pipette into the tube is much shorter compared to a 50 mL conical tube. The new 25 mL tubes are available with screw caps as well as with innovative SnapTec™ lids. This patented lid solution is a unique snap-on lid solution in the conical tube segment.
