Tubes and racks are autoclavable at 121 °C (2 bar), according to DIN EN 285. Lid mat / strips (TPE) are not autoclavable. Tubes, racks and lids are temperature resistant down to -80 °C. The tightness of the tubes is pressure-tested. The stackable racks in SBS format are especially suitable for use with robots and other automated dispensing systems due to the stable connection of carrier plate and rack. Coded tubes (A1 - H12) and the side surfaces of the racks suitable for barcode labels facilitate sample assignment.
