This working method includes centrifugation, which exploits the concept of mass inertia. A mixture of substances to be separated is filled into centrifuge tubes, placed in a centrifuge and set in rotation. Due to the high speed of rotation, heavier particles are pushed outward faster and farther than the lighter ones. In this way, a separation of substances is achieved on the basis of the mass or density of the individual components of the substance.
