Respirometric measurement system optimized for biodegradability testing under GLP conditions The BD600 is a respirometric system for determining biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). Save time, reduce the potential for error, and easily interpret data to make process control decisions for your plant. The BD600 is the ideal system for process control or as an additional test to the dilution method. Using a respirometric system solves many of the problems associated with the dilution method for BOD analysis. Significantly reduced sample preparation It is easy to start collecting data - simply pour the sample into the bottle, add nitrification inhibitor, and place the sensor head on the bottle. There is no need for sample dilutions or inoculation of the sample. Since this is a respirometric test, concerns about air in the sample are moot. Users do not need to be present once the test is started Measurements are taken automatically at regular intervals, stored and can be recalled at will - no more weekend trips to the lab or facility! Simple and fast interpretation of the measured values The results of a sample are displayed directly in mg/l BOD in the large, integrated display. In addition, the BOD curve is displayed, making measurement data points and trends easy to see and understand. In addition, each sensor head has an integrated LED. This allows the operator to visually identify which sample the data is being displayed for, reducing potential confusion or errors in sample data display. Consistent measurement conditions The automatic start function ensures that all measurements are taken at the same sample temperature. When measurement conditions are consistent across readings, operators do not have to account for temperature or pressure skew results. Sample identification and tracking The BD600 interface facilitates the assignment of an identification code or sample name when setting up a new sample. This helps track a sample since the time of acquisition and ensures traceability during measurement. Use the remote control When using a thermostatic cabinet with a glass door, users can use the included remote control to view a sample's measurement data - without opening the door! This further ensures that the sample temperature remains constant, which is essential for accurate results.
