The SteriPlast® blue polystyrene food spoon is produced in our Class 7 (10,000) cleanroom, individually packaged for disposable use, and then gamma sterilized. The food spoon is available in two sizes, 2.5 ml (similar to teaspoon) and 10 ml (similar to tablespoon), ideal for sampling powders, granules, pastes and liquids. The blue color does not occur in natural form in food. That is why the blue products, or parts of them, if they ever get into production, will be very quick and easy to recognize and find during visual inspection. The use of blue tools thus helps to meet the requirements of HACCP hazard analysis and assessment in relation to foreign bodies.
