The liquid and the suspended solids it contains rotate like a carousel. This flow pattern is very inefficient and makes thorough mixing difficult. The new DURAN® GLS 80® wide-neck baffle bottle has three vertical baffles on the inner walls that interrupt this radial swirling motion. The baffles increase vertical circulation and thus enable much more efficient and homogeneous mixing. Furthermore, the formation of a central vortex is suppressed and fewer areas of no mixing occur.
