Proteinase K is known as one of the most active endopeptidases.
The enzyme has excellent activity against native proteins and can be used to rapidly inactivate endogenous RNases and DNases. Proteinase K is particularly suitable for isolation of nucleic acids for amplification reactions and, for isolation of native RNA and DNA from tissues or cell lines, for promotion of cell lysis by activation of a bacterial autolysis factor and for modification of proteins or glycoproteins on cell surfaces (for membrane structure analysis).

Free of RNases and DNases, virtually free of DNA.
Consistent quality and performance.
Robust enzyme: stability over a wide pH range.
Ideal for multiple applications, such as the preparation of cell lysates for subsequent nucleic acid isolation.
