Identifying microorganisms and more The Lovibond ® DI 10 incubator enables reliable incubation of bacterial dipslides on site, in the laboratory or even on the road in the car. National and European guidelines provide practical guidance on monitoring, cleaning, testing and also controlling harmful Legionella bacteria in water systems. Dipslides are a critical part of the testing program and must be used correctly and regularly as part of a planned procedure, weekly to achieve meaningful results. The incubation time and incubation temperature must be the same each time the test is performed so that there is always controlled and consistent bacterial growth. This allows results to be comparable from week to week and makes high bacterial counts easier to detect. Incubation of the dipslides is normally at 30°C for a period of 48 hours, but this may vary depending on the application. The Lovibond ® DI 10 incubator, when used with Dipslides, allows effective microbiological monitoring of cooling water in accordance with the various European Directives.
