They come with two pestles: one for coarser pre-grinding ("Loose") and one for complete homogenization ("Tight").
The spherical pestle ends protect cell nuclei in soft samples.
The mortar has a large reservoir and and pouring lip.
Each set consists of 2 pestles + 1 mortar.
