Sieve cassettes determine the final fineness of the specimen. Sieve cassettes with trapezoidal perforation and square perforation are offered. Sieve cassettes with trapezoidal perforations provide additional comminution through increased shearing action. Sieve inserts with square perforation are recommended for comminution of brittle materials and materials of medium fineness with narrow grain width band. For sample preparation according to RoHS and WEEE (e.g. for the detection of hexavalent chromium) and for XRF analysis, we recommend the FRITSCH sieve cassettes made of chromium-free steel ST12.
