They are used in every laboratory in research, development and process monitoring to provide small but nevertheless representative sample quantities for meaningful analyses. With the models of the LABORETTE 27 rotary cone sample divider, liquid media or suspensions can also be divided -without conversion. Particularly when dividing suspensions with coarse-grained portions, the disturbing influence of segregation due to sedimentation of larger or heavier particles is reliably avoided by dividing with the rotary cone sample divider. Method of operation Outdated division principles such as "quartering" or "coning" no longer meet the high requirements of modern analytical methods. Today's best possible sample division is based on the combination of three division methods in one instrument: The sample is fed through a funnel to a division cone whose shape corresponds to quartering and coning. At its lateral surface, the sample material is accelerated outward by rotation of the entire system and divided into up to 30 individual streams by guide channels. The individual samples are collected in glass screw bottles. Due to the rotation and the number of dividing channels of the dividing head, the number of divisions increases up to 3,000 dividing steps per minute, so that each sample is composed of a very large number of individual samples - a hallmark of exact sample division. Due to its design, the LABORETTE 27 rotary cone sample divider can divide with an accuracy of 99.9 %.
