Sartopore 2 300 are ready-to-use, individually sterile packed capsules for small and medium volume filtration. Sartopore 2 300 feature a hydrophilic, double-layer membrane made of polyethersulfone with exceptionally high flow rates and lifetimes, broad chemical compatibility and extremely low extractables. Sartopore 2 300 capsules are made of the identical materials and follow the same design principle as all other Sartopore 2 filter elements. Therefore, they are ideal for scale-up and scale-down experiments. The polyether sulfone membrane is compatible over a pH range of 1 to 14, making Sartopore 2 filter elements ideal for filtration of high/low pH solutions. Sartopore 2 300 capsules, due to their unique design and the asymmetric pore structure of the polyethersulfone membrane, exhibit excellent flow rates and service life, especially when compared to conventional flat filters. Sartopore 2 300 capsules are available with 3 different pore sizes 0.8 µm 0.45 µm, 0.45 µm 0.2 µm and 0.2 µm 0.1 µm for different applications. Sartopore 2 300 capsules are designed, developed and manufactured in accordance with an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Each individual filter element is tested for integrity in a batch-based single unit inspection. Validation documentation is available in accordance with regulatory requirements. Performance: The uniquely pleated filter design combined with a highly asymmetric pore structure of the polyehtersulfone membrane yields excellent flow rates and an exceptionally high total flow capacity, especially when compared to conventional layered filters. Ease of use: Sartopore 2 300 capsules are available for easy installation in any filtration system with the following connections: Tubing olive, 1/4 inch NPT thread or 1 1/2 inch Tri-Clamp connection. The Tri-Clamp connection ensures reliable integrity testing. Automatic Venting: A hydrophobic PTFE membrane at the highest point "upstream" allows easy venting of the capsule and prevents product loss during venting. Scale Up: Because this capsule is constructed of the identical materials and designed identically to all Sartopore 2 elements, Sartopore 2 300 is ideal for use in pharmaceutical development laboratories.
