Sartolclean CA filter cartridges are the ideal choice for prefiltration in a wide range of applications in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and are applicable from particle retention to bioburden reduction. These filters provide you with defined retention of particles of a specific size due to the defined retention properties of the membrane. The use of Sartoclean CA prefilters prevents premature blocking of downstream sterile filter elements and thus leads to an economical design of your filtration system. Due to the very low adsorption of cellulose acetate membranes, Sartoclean CA filter elements are typically used in membrane prefiltration of a wide variety of solutions such as plasma feed fractions, vaccines, protein solutions and solutions containing preservatives. Over the years, Sartolclean CA filter cellulose acetate membranes have proven to be the material with the lowest non-specific binding capacity. Sartoclean CA filters with heterogeneous double membrane construction (3.0/0.8 µm & 0.8/0.65 µm) offer excellent service life due to "built-in" pre-filtration. Sartoclean CA filter elements with single layer membrane (0.45 µm & 0.2 µm) offer highest flow rates.
