SERVA Purple, 250x concentrate 25 ml

The fluorescent dye Deep Purple (marketed by GE Healthcare) and Lava Purple (marketed by SERVA) have been used by numerous laboratories for staining proteins in gels and on blot membranes. The dye is based on the small, naturally occurring compound "epicocconone" that reversibly binds to lysines, arginines and histidines in proteins and peptides and then emits a red fluorescence. SERVA Purple is a further development of this compound. It has improved properties due to a novel production and purification technology with unchanged cost-effectiveness compared to other fluorescent dyes or even silver staining.
