An electrode for determining the ammonia concentration of samples such as wastewater and Kjeldahl distillate. Features and benefits A gas sensitive electrode (GSE) consists of a pH electrode immersed in an electrolyte solution separated from the measuring solution by a gas sensitive membrane. The gas to be determined diffuses through the membrane and changes the pH value of the electrolyte. Concentrations of acidic or alkaline gases can be easily determined in this way.The robust plastic shaft makes the GSE suitable for both field and laboratory applications. - Robust plastic shaft - Gas sensitive membrane Technical data - Ammonia electrode Shaft material PPS Temperature range °C 0 ... 50 Measuring range 5.0E-02 ... 5.0E-06 mol/L Optimum pH range > 11 Interference volatile bases
