The Eppendorf UVette enables measurements in the UV/Vis range with transparency from 220 nm nm to 1,600 nm, with a typical minimum volume of 50 µL. With the UVette, the user can choose between two optical path lengths (10 mm and 2 mm). The optical path length can be reduced by a factor of 5 without diluting or wasting samples - simply by rotating the UVette by 90°. The UVette is suitable for fluorescence assays thanks to its low intrinsic fluorescence. The individually sealed PCR Clean and Protein-free versions are ideal for precise nucleic acid and protein quantification. The UVette is optimally matched to the Eppendorf BioPhotometer and Eppendorf BioSpectrometer families. With an adapter, the UVette can also be used in other spectrophotometers.
