Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges are specifically designed for sterile filtration of pharmaceutical solutions with a homogeneous particle spectrum. The unique heterogeneous double-layer PES membrane combination of Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges is specifically designed to provide exceptionally high total flow and high flow rates for total chemical process fluids and other small particle spectrum biotech manufacturing process fluids. Applications: Typical applications of Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges include sterile filtration of: - Ophthalmic solutions - Chemically defined cell culture media - Large volumes of highly viscous parenterals - Any fully chemically defined media. Efficiency: The combination of the built-in 0.35 µm pre-filter in front of a 0.2 µm final filter together with an exceptionally high effective filtration area of 0.8 m²/10" filter cartridge allow outstanding overall flow and flow rate performance in the target applications. This ensures highest process efficiency, minimized filtration costs and short filtration times. Compatibility: The PES membrane of Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges is compatible in a pH range from pH 1 to 14 and low extractable levels. It is compatible with multiple in-line steam sterilization cycles up to 134°C. Scalability: Sartopore® 2 XLI filter elements are available in a variety of sizes and formats, allowing easy linear scale-up from R & D to process. Microbiological retention: Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges are fully validated sterile filter elements according to HIMA and ASTM F-838-05 guidelines. Quality control: Each individual element is tested for integrity using diffusion and bubble point testing to meet the highest quality requirements. Documentation: Sartopore® 2 XLI filter cartridges are designed, developed and manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001 certified quality management system. A validation manual is available in accordance with regulatory requirements.
