Round coverglasses of the strength 1, 0.13 to 0.16 mm thick,
Highest hydrolytic strength, borosilicate glass of the 1st hydrolytic class, therefore absolutely documentation-proof.
Alkali output approx. 15 to 24 µg Na2O/g glass, therefore a glass of highest resistance.
Excellent usability for the fluorescence microscopy. Shined in ultraviolet radiations with longer wavelength as about 320 nm cause practically no fluorescence in the coverglasses. The mercury lines give practically no own fluorescence in the cover glass at 334 and 365 nm.
By the use of mercury light in the fluorescence microscopy is to notice that the mercury lines with shorter wavelengths as 313 nm have to be filtered from the exciter light so that no additional veiling luminance disturbs the observations.
