Sartorius® Minisart Air15 breather filter 1751A - Q, 0.2 µm hydrophobic PTFE

Non-sterile Minisart® Air syringe filters are available in bulk packs. This reduces waste and facilitates handling whenever the application allows filtration or aeration under non-sterile conditions. The PTFE membrane with low non-specific binding is the best option for Leachable-Free filtration. Due to its hydrophobicity, the PTFE membrane acts as a water barrier and is not wetted by aerosols. This keeps the hydrophobic breather filter permeable to gas or air. The housing is made of MBS (methacrylate-butadiene-styrene) acrylic granules, which have limited compatibility with alcohols, but are phthalate-free and pass plastic class VI test. It is adhesive, e.g. to tubing, which allows assembly and sterilization by the customer. The housing and diaphragm are firmly bonded, making bidirectional use possible.
