SERVA BlueVertical™ PRiME™ Mini Vertical Gel Tank

The BlueVertical™ PRiME™ is a dual mini-tank system with the ability to run one or two pregels. It can hold SERVAGel™ PRiME™ and the other SERVAGel™ types and all other commercially available pre-cast gels with external dimensions of 10 x 10 x 0.7 cm.
The attachment to the inner chamber unit has been redesigned to provide four robust clamps (two on each side) that accurately and firmly hold two finished gel cassettes in their correct position. This ensures leakage-free separation of the inner run unit from the outer buffer chamber.
Protein separations using SDS PAGE, native PAGE, IEF and also nucleic acid separations using denaturing or native PAGE can be performed.
The outer buffer tank acts as a heat sink (passive buffer cooling) and is sufficient for most of the above applications. One can run two SERVAGel™ PRiME™ simultaneously at 300 volts. The run is completed in about 35 minutes without significantly heating the buffer. If additional cooling is required (e.g. in IEF applications), a magnetic stir bar can be used to assist buffer circulation.
The unit consists of an outer buffer tank and the inner running chamber. Thanks to the newly developed mounting system, the gels are inserted in seconds and seal the inner buffer chamber against the outer buffer chamber 100%. The outer buffer tank is made of robust, transparent acrylic - view the gel during the run! A safety lid seals the top, resulting in a very compact and robust design. Little workspace is required. The unit is compliant with European safety regulations (CE mark).
