Retained samples must be secured against falsification at all times and must be identifiable beyond doubt. Bottles with sealing eyelets should therefore be secured with SampleSafe seals. The seals are made of sturdy polypropylene. The seals can be clearly identified by the consecutive 9-digit number. The seal string has a diameter of 2 mm, so SampleSafe seals also fit through small eyelets and slots. The seal string is firmly secured in the sealing chamber by a metal insert made of stainless spring steel. The one-way pull mechanism provides additional protection against tampering. The use of a special ultrasonic process makes it impossible to force open or manipulate the seal without leaving clear traces.
